Do I need an appointment?
Yes. The White Peony is an intimate bridal boutique and is by-appointment in order to provide our brides with undivided personal attention. To book your appointment, click here. We often can accommodate last-minute appointment inquiries, and welcome browsing.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Bringing a strapless bra, nude undergarments, and shapewear can be helpful, as well as shoes in a similar height to those you plan to wear on your wedding day. We ask that you refrain from wearing excess make-up and self-tanner to your bridal appointment.
How many people may I bring with me?
Our bridal boutique accommodates 4-5 guests in your party. We are an intimate shop with limited seating, and find the opinions of a trusted few always make for an easier decision for the bride. If you hope to bring more guests to your appointment, we kindly ask you call ahead to let us know.
What is the price range of your dresses?
Our gowns start at $1500, and go up to $5000. The majority fall between $1900-$2400.
What sizes are your sample dresses?
The majority of our gowns are sampled in size 10; however we do carry sample gowns in smaller and larger sizes.
Do you carry bridesmaid dresses?
No. We carry wedding dresses and bridal accessories.
Do you provide alterations?
We do not provide in-house alterations. We have a few local seamstresses who we recommend to our brides. The White Peony is not affiliated with any specific seamstress. It is each bride’s decision who to choose to alter their wedding dress.
What’s a trunk show?
We carry a selection of dresses from each designer’s collection. During a trunk show, the entire collection is in store and a discount is often granted. Sometimes the designer is even present! If you like a specific designer, a trunk show is the perfect time to book your appointment. Make sure you do so in advance, trunk shows book up fast!
When should I order my wedding dress?
We recommend ordering your gown 6-9 months prior to your wedding day, allowing time for production, shipping, and alterations. It can take 6 months for your gown to come in. Rush orders can often be accommodated, though rush fees may apply. If you find yourself short on time, there is often the option to purchase a gown off the rack.
